I'M SO EXCITIED.............

Hey that's a song!
Well I have reason to be singing that song.
I applied for a job on Mon. and found out today "I GOT THE JOB".
I applied for a job at a doctor's office as a Medical Assistant.
I haven't done that job since, hmmmmmmmmmm...........
maybe about 11 years ago.
And I got the job.
It's for a hematology and oncology office.
I can't wait to find out when I start. I have to call the
office manager tomorrow morning to set everything up.
I feel like a weight has been lifted off of me.
No more dealing with heavy lifting and turning,
and putting up with patients that like to fight with you
or say sexual comments.
I'll be working Mon.-Fri. 9am- 5pm with EVERY WEEKEND OFF.
AND NOT TO MENTION HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now isn't that something to be excited about.
I think so.
No more coming home with a sore back or aches and pains.
But to be honest, I knew that I was going to get the job.
The day of my interview, she went over everything.
Such as uniforms, health benefits and etc....
I didn't they did that until YOU WERE ACTUALLY HIRED
NOT AT THE INTERVIEW.
Everyone is proud and happy for me. Especially my hubby, Ryan
and daughter, Heather.
And I can't forget my mother who is smiling down on me from heaven.
Also the good Lord himself made it possible too.
I can't wait to have normal hours and regular days off.

I work today but do have this weekend off.
SO HAPPY FRIDAY TO EVERYONE.

O.J., enough already...........

Enough about O.J. Simpson and the break-in out in Las Vegas.
Come he did it.
Just like he killed his wife too.
I tired to watch the local news tonight and all they
wanted to talk about was "O.J. SIMPSON AND THE ROBBERY
HE COMMITTED IN LAS VEGAS."
I want to see what is going on in MY AREA.
So I turned off the t.v. to listen to SILENCE.................

And now it's bagged lettuce we have to look out for
because of E coli.
WTF???? WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?
DO WE NEED TO GROW OUR VEGGIES?
PROBABLY NOT A BAD IDEA!!!!!!!!

What a weekend?????

My weekend was somewhat different, as for me it was.
I have decided to stop smoking, again.
Yea, and on my weekend off I decide to do that. It's been okay so far.
My mood swings seem to hit me in the late evening. I do have to say
that I am total monster.
But I am trying very hard and my daughter is being a sport when the
monster comes out in me. Hopefully it'll be easier tonight since I am
working. We shall see.
But so far I've saved 5 hours on life since I stopped on Sat.
So if any of you fellow blogger's have quit smoking or are trying to
please HELP ME!!!!!

Thanks!

My Night At Work

Oh! Can I tell some stories about my nights at work.
Well tonight, I did have a patient tell me, "sit on him
and set him up and tell me what needs to be done!!"
Then the same man preceded to tell me he like my
scrub top and he wanted me take it off.
And then later tell me " You have some of me".
Okay he's way out there, demented I might add, very.

Then one my patients was talking about "not being free".
I told him the slaves were freed a long time ago.
And that the only way he'd be really free is if
he asked Jesus to free him. He them told me,
"Jesus won't free me, you have too."
OKAY!!

Not to mention I have one lady yelling all night,
" CAN YOU HELP ME PLEASE?"
I have a bad headache and back ache from
some of these patients.
I never KNEW what I was getting into when I
took the class for this job.

I really need to work in a physic ward.
Wait.............I think in away I do????????????

My hubby would agree with this

What Your Sleeping Position Says
You are calm and rational person with a good deal of balance in your life.
Friends consider you to be kind, caring, and truly loyal.
You are easy going and trusting. However, you are too sensible to fall for mind games.
Open to the world, you are not afraid to be yourself.

If you don't get enough sleep, you are: Able to cope

It's hard to sleep next to you because: You're a bed hog
What Does Your Sleeping Position Say About You?

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

Well guys and gals
here she is "41" years ago today. Aug. 25,1966. Taken one hour after I was born.
Weighing in at 5 lbs. 10oz.
She's grown now.
103 lbs. and 5'2".
My mom always said I had the "mouth of the south". I still yell and scream, just like the day I was born. LOL!!!!!!

I just wish my mother was here to celebrate this day with me. But I know that she is looking down on me today smiling and wishing me her best. I do miss my mother. Today belongs to her just as much as it does to me. She's the one that had to endure the labor and not to mention that she had me nautrally, and I WAS BORN FEET FIRST. She said that I came out kicking and screaming, and that I'd always land on my feet. That is why I came out feet first.
She refused any drugs and wouldn't let them turn me around. Not to mention that I was born early too. AT 24 Wks. and the doctors said I wouldn't make it.
I'd like to prove them wrong.
I love my mother
and miss her very much.

What a night at work???????

It started out as any other night.
Until about 9:00 p.m.
One patient refused to get in the bed.
Talked her into getting into bed. Me being my silly self
was cutting up with her and making my co-workers laugh.
It took 4 of us to get her into bed. Did you hear me "4 people".
Well, get her into bed and she starts fighting with me and another
co-worker. Grabbing coworkers arms. Then proceeds to grabs mine.
I get loose while she's hitting the other girl. Then she reaches up and
grabs a hand full of my hair. I asked her to let go and she refused.
I hate to have my hair pulled. So I tell her " YOUR MESSING UP MY
DO". She pulls harder and then finally lets go; and says:"WHAT DO?"
I laughed.
Then she said she was gonna call the police. I told her go ahead.
I told her "I'LL DIAL THE NUMBER FOR YOU."
After that she didn't say another word the rest of the night.

Some of the things older people come up with to say.
Can't wait to see what tomorrow night brings.
We shall see.
Oh but wait there is a FULL MOON on Tues. the 28Th.
GREAT! That is when ALL THE FREAKS COME OUT......

Long time ,no write

It's been awhile since I've been on here. I have been busy.

My daughter from Texas came to visit and we had a GREAT time. Now she is back in TX. and I miss her so much. She is the one that was in the car accident back in June. And her forehead where she had stitches, looks pretty good. She is now "15". Gosh, they grow up so fast. And not to mention that Heather the one that lives with me, is "16". I have to say, that I have 2 very beautiful daughters. I am very proud of them both.

And my hubby;BBW is in Kansas-AGAIN. He's scheduled to be there until Dec. 1st. He left on the 13th of this mth. This will be the longest we have ever been away from each other.

And next Sat. (the 25th) is my birthday. I'll be "41" and I will be celebrating it ALONE. It's just another year. With BBW in Kansas, trying to find the Yellow Brick Road{LOL}, and Heather is going to West Va. with our friend, I will be ALONE. Me and the animals.

Any ideas on what I should do-by myself???????

I will write more later.

But for now here's a pic of me and my beautiful girls.

Still here

I am still here. I've had alot going on. Feeling under the weather and getting ready for my daughter to come home and the other to visit. I only have 5 more days until they arrive. My best friend is throwing them both a "Welcome Home party" on Sun. Lots of food and drinks for the adults.
Also in the previous weeks, I shut the car door on my right pinkie finger, broke the nail-completely off. Keep in mind I get my nails done every 2-3 weeks. I couldn't move the pinkie for weeks. If it was broken, the doctor couldn't do nothing.
I don't know what I'm gonna do with noise in the house and actual PEOPLE here.
It's just been me and the 3 cats and the dog. Which isn't too bad, until I get ready for bed. The 3 cats all want attention at the same time and I only have 2 hands. So they fight over who gets me first.
The dog wakes me at 9:30 am every morning to go out on the balcony to lay in the hot, blistering sun.
But it will be nice to have someone to come home too. I mean a human.
And work has sucked too. But what is new there.
More later.....

Made me think??????

I was off work last Fri. and agreed to have dinner with my best friend Wendy that night.
As I pull up to her house, my friend from work calls to tell that a dear and sweet patient of mine had passed away. He had just gotten back from the hospital and wasn't really doing too good.
On Thurs. night, the last time I saw or took care of him; he was like his old self. He use to rub my arm. Well he did this as I was feeding him.
I never really knew what this man was like or what he did in his life.......until I read his obuartiary. He was a very smart man. Here is some of it:

" During World War II, he worked for Douglas Aircraft in the design and production of the aluminum wings of the C-54 cargo plane. Following the war, he had a distinguished 26-year career as a project engineer and executive for Reynolds Metals Co. During that time, he developed the extrusion process for producing the first seamless aluminum drink cans. He was also instrumental in introducing to the nation the use of aluminum foil for cooking. Following his retirement from Reynolds, he served as director of Buildings and Grounds for Virginia Commonwealth University, including the 50-building hospital campus of the Medical College of Virginia. He was also active in the Boy Scouts. After he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, he served as a local and regional scout leader for 25 years, including service as the Chicago Area District Boy Scout Commissioner. The family wishes to thank the staff at Chesapeake Healthcare for their extraordinary care during his stay."

That makes one really think what did this person do with their life.
I basically take care of people for a living. That is my career. And come to find out, this was a very smart man.
What are people going to say about me when I pass on? I miss him and still have a hard time walking into to his room. Because for the past 5 1/2 months, I helped take care of this man. But he always did tell me "thank-you" for anything I did for him.
Why can't some of the older people I take care of be like that? It also makes me think, "What kind of person am I gonna be when I get older or if I end up where someone has to help take care of me? No one knows how we will be when we are older and have to depend on someone else to help or take care of us. I just hope that I turn out to like some of the good ones that I have been able to help take care of.

Having a bad week

My week hasn't been so great, so far. And it's only Tues. you say. Well let's start with that I was sick Sat. ( my day off) and Sun. was my scheduled day off, but stupid me picked it up. Thinking why not? Hubby and daughter are gone. Well, I was still sick that day too. Tried to call off from work and they said, "they weren't taking any call offs." Oh, did I mention I was coughing and running a fever. Didn't matter. Go to work anyway.
Thought I was feeling better by the time I got home Sun.
NOPE!!
Mon. am woke up with a fever and called off. I was miserable all day. No one to take care of me or cater to my needs. Started feeling better and went to work on Tues.
So hopefully somewhere around the corner the rest of the week has to get better. At least I hope it does. I'm still not feeling like myself. I should've taken more time off.
Off to bed to get some sleep and rest.
Tomorrow is another day.
