Oh it's FRIDAY

I was off today. My daughter and I went shopping for "our summer wardrobe", well, started anyway.
We went and did our shopping and before hitting Old Navy we decided to grab some lunch at Ruby Tuesday's. I ordered a glass of wine and much to my surprise the waitress asked for my i.d. I laughed and was grinning as I happily pulled out my i.d. for her. She commented that I DID NOT LOOK I WAS BORN IN 1966. That made my day.
Well, on our way home we stopped at the grocery store to pick a few things. I grabbed 2 bottles of my fav wine ( ok, I'm a wine-o,lol).
As the cashier was ringing up the groceries and came across the bottles of wine also asked for my i.d. I giggled and showed it to her and she commented about my age too. So that made my day. Getting carded twice in one day, WOW!!!!
My daughter and I don't act like mother and daughter sometimes and people have said that to us. I take that as a good thing.
We like SOME of the same music and we argue like sisters.
She's leaving next month on the 21st for TX. to visit her dad and sister and won't be back until July. I hate to say it, " I'm gonna miss her."
When I come home from work at nights we sit and watch t.v. together and talk.
Maybe I'll pick up extra shifts at work or work on a few days off. Who knows?
With her gonna be gone and BBW gone to who knows where, I won't have anyone to hang with at night. Except for the cats and the dog. Now that I think about work might be the answer.
It's off to bed to listen to the thunder and rain.
More about my life later......

THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS

Please take a moment to send a prayer or thought to the families and friends and those that lost their lives in the VT shooting that happened on Mon.
It has been noted as "THE WORST SHOOTING IN YEARS AT A SCHOOL". I have been trying to follow Fox News on this matter and it's heart breaking for me to listen to.
At least 33 people killed and others injured.
The students attending the school and their families need our thoughts and prayers along with the ones that lost their lives for NO reason.
My heart aches for such a tragedy. And to know that it's in the state that I live.
Neal Boortz has also listed a post on this horrifying tragedy.

President Bush and the First Lady are due to arrive today for a service at VT.

So take a moment to send thoughts and prayers to all at VT today.

ALL ALONE............

Sitting here all alone, well not quite; 3 cats and a puppy.
The baby cat (Boots) has gone psycho. Running up and
down the stairs. It sounds like a freight train roaring through
the house. The puppy barking at his OWN shadow in the
patio door. And the other 2 cats sleeping or eating- as usual.
No t.v. or radio on, just the noise from the animals and
the rain and the wind.
It's quite soothing. The rain beating against the roof and the
wind blowing.
AAAAWWWWW!!!!! SILENCE IS GOLDEN.
Just wish BBW was here to snuggle up with
and listen to the rain also.
Well off to bed I'm going, I think????
Good night.

I'm still here and there.........

Sorry it's been awhile since I've been on. Alot has been going on lately.
BBW is now in N.C. which is only 4 hours away. I was off last weekend and
drove up to spend the weekend with him, since we weren't together for
our first anniversary. But he did very well for me. He got me the jewlery
I wanted and then sent me Godiva chocolates and orchids. So I made out
good. How's he gonna top the next one????
Plus last Sat. am I awoke to snow. Yes, in April and in Va. Beach we got SNOW.
I'll be glad when the warmer weather gets here.
Plus things at work. It has been wearing me out. It's not the work but some of my
patients. Gosh! I do not want to get old or at least not like some of them.
I thought I had lost a patient over the weekend and come to find out she was
sent to the hospital and she's still there.
But I do have a really cool patient. She's been there for about a month and she's going home on Fri. The doctors said she'd never get any better. She came in with a feeding tube and couldn't hardly speak nor did she walk. Well, now she's talking and walking and eating regular food. She is only 48 yrs. old. I'm gonna hate to see her go. Her family is wonderful. We've all formed a bond.
And then there are your crazy ones, your bossy ones, and the ones that are pure lazy. But I enjoy what I'm doing. I will continue my nursing career. I plan on going further. I like helping people and caring for them.
Well, more later. It's bed time.
Don't forget me, I'm still here but not as often and I'm sorry.
More later..........
